Peter Daou from Salon has a new blog, UN Dispatch.

The United Nations has been a flawed institution from the get-go. But so are Interstate 10, Microsoft, and the American constitutional system. Frustrating as they can be sometimes, we don't just give up on them. They also do whole lot of good. And things would go pretty chaotic, fast, if they suddenly just disappeared.

Same thing's true of the United Nations. Much more so. Think Tsunami. Think Unicef. Think Kyoto. Think women's rights in the Third World. Worth seeing what they're up to on a daily basis.
