Starting to make up for last week's interpudum...

This little fellow is a Muntjac, forwarded by Stephanie in Kansas.

As to why this picture comes from Kansas, as opposed to anywhere else you can find Muntjacs...

I'd like to tell you that Muntjacs roam Kansas in great rumbling herds, their tiny trotters hammering thunder against the hardened plains.

So I will.

They do that.  About twice a day.

Thousands and thousands of tiny Muntjacs roll blithely across the state in a great ungulate wave.  The ground almost shakes beneath their eeny little feet.

That really must be spectacular.
