I've been waiting for the right time to post on this. The GOP's rule-breaking, power-grabbing attempt to ditch the filibuster -- giving them power not just to ram right-wing judges but some downright scary legislation down our throats -- is about to come to a head.

The long-term implications of the "nuclear option" could resonate for generations, removing one of the last large brakes to further power grabs. If you think the last few years have been horrible for democracy, this could really only be the beginning.

Seriously. I try not to sound the alarm too often. This is a big goddam deal, folks.
