The Last Days Of Bush: Official Website Off-Limits To Foreigners

Just arrived in London, where I'll be for a few days. I have no idea if this is news in the States, but it's bloody unbelievable, as they say: according to the BBC, the official Bush/Cheney 2004 website is blocked to anyone accessing it from outside the United States.

The moment you venture across the border, it's like stepping out of a bizarre info-controlled daydream and seeing it from outside. Man.

UPDATE: My current personal theory (based on nothing whatsoever, note) is that it's a pre-emptive security measure intended to keep anyone from overseas, where anti-Bush sentiment approaches 100%, from hacking in and demonstrating such to America just before the election. But that's just a half-assed, uninformed, what-the-f*** could they be thinking guess.

In any case, I'm sitting here in a hotel room near the Tower of London at what would be 10:55 pm Friday night back home. And this is what I see when I try to access GeorgeWBush.com from here, cut and pasted:
