Stalin’s secret program: half-ape supertroops

Courtesy Aussie bud Jono, we learn of this:

If successful, the plan would have seen humans and chimpanzees cross-breeding to create a new race of "living war machines", which ignored pain and fear and which thrived on hardship.

He suggests, and I have to agree, that the program may have been tried with more success in the west, although the hybrids are apparently now used as TV anchors and pundits.

Even a Surveillance Court judge is resigning in disgust

Guy apparently is protesting against Bush being such a constitution-ignoring criminal.

Maybe not in precisely those words.  But read.  That’s pretty much the gist.

Oh — and on the subject, kudos to Jon.  His work has been an integral part of the preparation for Cong. John Conyers‘ new report reviewing the Bush administration’s misconduct, leading to CensureBush.com, which I dearly recommend you visit, support, and urge on others.

Blogging will be light until further notice.  Still sick, still another book deadline, and still hoping to pack up and travel despite it all.

“America kidnapped me”

Want to know why Bush is the most dangerous president in American history?

Read this first-person memoir
from Khaled El-Masri, a car salesman who was falsely believed to be
involved in the 9/11 attacks.  He was kidnapped, beaten, and imprisoned
for five months before the mistake was figured out.

I was forced to record a video saying I
had been treated well.  Then I was handcuffed, blindfolded and taken to
a building where I was severely beaten.

I don’t know what’s worse: a) Bush openly admitting that he is willing
to defy federal law and the constitution, while lying through his teeth
with claims that he is obeying the law, or b) the appalling lack of
public outrage.  I feel physically sickened just thinking about it.

Oh, and by the way, there’s yet another new report of another American secret prison where inmates were tortured.

Words fail me today.  Sorry.
