The movement to recall Arnold has begun.
Oh, man, we need this. (Read the bill of particulars. He really has been an amazingly shabby, shallow, and corrupt governor, even by contemporary standards.)

The tragedies are starting to stack up faster than I can keep track of.
30,000 feared dead just in Kashmir alone in the latest earthquake. Ten 9-11s. Ten of them. At once.
Hundreds killed in mudslides in Guatemala and El Salvador. Whole
families wiped out, with no one left even to identify the bodies.
Communities simply wiped off the Earth.
This after Katrina. And Rita.
And the Asian tsunami.
Crap.
The way Mother Nature has been behaving lately, maybe we should be driving SUVs.
OK, hold on. I almost lost my head there.
If you want to pitch in, there are links aplenty upper left and right. The upper left Oxfam link is specifically for the Kashmir quake. The links on the upper right are just for general depressing random mayhem.

I think this is fresh from another pudu!
This little one is from the Micke Grove Zoo in San Joaquin County. They also have dik-diks and chevrotains and all sorts of trotter-based lifeforms.
655 grams, if I’m reading this right, is a little less than four 6-oz. cans of tuna. Pudu here is about the same size, too. Just add fur and a tiny Mona Lisa smile (which you’ll see if you look close).
Sigh.
Have a great weekend.
Here
are the nine who voted against the McCain now-that-we-think-about-it,
four-years-later, torture-is-bad Amendment, which passed 90-9 with one
abstention:
The measure was supported by Colin Powell and 28 other retired senior military officers.
Naturally, the Monkey King threatened to veto the measure. It would limit his power to inflict war at all costs. After all, he does really think he’s doing god’s work.
Oh… and that last part is from the BBC, which is now openly reporting that Bush has claimed the war is god’s work. Chris, incidentally, was writing about this exact thing over two years ago.
