Beware, the giant robot pudu!

Which is actually probably more of a fallow deer, I guess, or maybe a red deer, but whatever. I’m going with robot pudu. Just, well, beware, the giant robot unspecified cervine ungulate! doesn’t quite ring the same way.

According to a story which originated with the BBC’s Newsnight program, Al-Qaeda called its bank shot.
Not sure if I want to invest too much in the report — it’s basically what one guy says he heard another guy said, with no way to corroborate it — although Ibn Sheikh Al-Libi’s falsehoods under interrogation, and their impact the Bush war party, have been revealed before. All this adds is the claim that the bank shot was intentional, not just the result of a guy breaking under questioning and saying what the interrogators want to hear.
